OFFENSE SHINES IN SEASON OPENER

Marty - The Express (1-0 Overall, 1-0 Central Valley League) pounded out 18 hits and put the game out of reach with a 6-run sixth inning in the season opener on a breezy Sunday afternoon in Marty. Pat Arnold led the way with four hits including a 2-run homerun in the 5th. Joe Pennertz and Kyle Winter also added three hits each. The Express will have a busy weekend as they will host Sobieski on Saturday, with the first pitch at 4:00, and St. Nicholas on Sunday at 2:00.

The Express would like to thank everyone who made it out to the park on Saturday for the 2nd Annual Beanbag Tournament. A total of 62 teams participated in the event this year. Thanks again for your support.
