EXPRESS RAILYARD ROOKIE CAMP

Saturday morning the Kimball Express held their third annual Express Railyard Rookie Camp at Kimball Veterans Memorial Field.

Youngsters from ages 9-12 years old came out and learned the fundamentals of baseball. The kids went through four stations learning techniques in hitting, infield, outfield and proper throwing.

After the stations were completed the kids played two contests. An accuracy contest where standing at second base they had to see who could throw a baseball into a barrel at home plate and they ended with the bat spin contest where they put their head on the bat at home, spun around in circles five times and were timed to see how fast they could run to first.

For participating the kids received a T-shirt, free St. Cloud River Bats tickets and a pop or Gatorade. Special thanks to the Kimball Community Ed for putting things together for the camp.
