18TH ANNUAL MOTHER'S DAY DINNER A SUCCESS

The annual Mothers Day Dinner put on by the Kimball Express and the Playland Ballroom was a huge success as 588 people were served. This is the most ever to come through the doors for the dinner in the eighteen years the amateur team has been putting it on. Manager Tom Marquardt and all the players were very happy to be able to treat all mothers and their families to a nice Chicken and Ham dinner.

The Express would like to give a very special thanks to the Playland staff again this year as they do a terrific job of preparing the meal. Thanks to Dennis and Jan Schmitz for all their hard work. Don’t forget about the Wednesday evening chicken dinners at Playland as the staff serves it up weekly.
